We decided a long time ago that we would not waste your time nor our time getting you to come in for an appointment and listen to us try to sell you packages that are beyound the budget you set for photography or did not care about seeing. Therefore, unlike most photographers, we post our prices and packages online so that you already can have an idea of what packages most fit your budget and which packages you may want to view when you do call for an appointment. This system has worked well for us and our customers seem to like this approach.
We also decided a long time ago that we would give our customers all the copyrights to all the images that we take. Whether it be in a photo session or wedding. We feel like those images should belong to you. So we give them to you on a Gold Disk DVD for you to print your own photos. We will still print photos for you for a price which you will always find posted. If we do end up shooting your wedding please let everyone know that you will be getting the copyright to all your images so that not all your guests will be trying to get the entire wedding for you to view off their camera after the wedding is over. Too many guests feel that they are doing the couple a favor by taking photographs, So please let your guests know that it is not necessary for them to get ALL the shots. We also decided a long time ago that we would laminate all the images that go into an album. We have several types of lamination to choose from and if you forget to choose one we will choose for you. Laminating images preserves the image from dirty little fingerprints that may contain stuff that you do not want touching your images. Any laminated image can be wiped clean with a paper towel and a touch of windex. Another thing that we do is allow you, the customer, to choose his & her own images that go into each album. We know of photographers that choose the images for you and we decided not to do this but to allow you to choose those images that are important to you. Only you know which ones you like. Almost all of our packages come with two photographers for the pre-ceremony and ceremony. During the reception only one is necessary but occassionally you may find us shooting with two cameras. We generally start your wedding day by driving to the reception location first and shooting all of the beautiful decorations that you have prepared for your guests. Ar that time we locate the table that is preserved just for the photographer for his photographic gear. Usually this table is not front and center but off to the side with easy access for the photographer's needs. We then proceed to the location of the ceremony. After we get to the ceremony location we set up the other camera and take a few practice shots for lighting. If we have pre-arranged Bridal Boudoir shots we will shoot her first. Our time will begin when we begin shooting the pre-ceremony. In other words that is when the clock starts for your paid services. We generally will shoot all the way up until the ceremony begins, ends, and the couple get into their vehicle to be driven to the location of the reception. Once we stop shooting and are driving to the location of the reception we stop the clock and start it back up when the bride and groom arrive at the new location. The only other time that we will stop the clock is when the bride and groom are eating (as we also will stop the clock and eat too!) PLEASE MAKE SURE THERE IS A TABLE RESERVED FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHER.....(if we arrive at the repception location before the pre-ceremony and no table is reserved and we must take our time to get this done ...your time will begin at that time.) Our time is important to us and we gladly give you this for free only if you have done your part by making sure we have been taken care of. This means that when we arrive there will be a table already set up with a tablecloth and 2 chairs. The table needs to be an 8 ft. rectangled table. When we have fulfilled the contract with the appropriate hours we will inform the bride or groom that we will be leaving. At least 15 minutes prior to the finished time if the bride and groom have not performed all the necessary reception shots we will notify them of the time. We want to make sure we get all the customary shots before leaving the reception. If you have an itenerary of the events at the reception we would appreciate a copy of this so we will know what follows. Many times the brides give one to the DJ and fail to give one to the photographer. |
